Last weekend the DKKQ tour bus was parked at the airport as the event was transported by what seems to be a micro-light to Limerick and the competition at the West County Hotel in Ennis. Desiree Halvey-Purcell definitely has the easiest venue of the year…. we all get to set-up on Saturday, then eat, sleep and simply walk into the full ballroom for the Qualifiers…. superb!. Being the only Southern Irish heat they literally do come from far and wide and by 10.30 am the venue was packed. Although only Champions and above seemed to enter the qualifiers the actual standard was superb…. the Freestyle in particular was Grand!!! By close of play we got our qualifiers and everyone went away happy…. so the tour returned to Shannon Airport and the Tiger Moth back to the mainland. To Desiree, Tucker and everyone at the heat…. Tanks A Million!!!

So now watch out Haywards Heath on the 25th… here we come for the penultimate heat!
